About Us

History

Platte Valley Bank has been a locally owned community bank for 127 years. We believe an independent bank is a viable force in our community and we know we can offer our customers unique opportunities that larger banks cannot - local decisions, identity protection, low cost banking services, and competitive rates. We work, play, shop, and worship with our customers.

Platte Valley Bank was incorporated June 27, 1891 as the Bank of Morse Bluff. The bank was located in what is now the Morse Bluff Post Office. Following the depression when four North Bend banks closed, the bank moved to North Bend in 1934 and became Platte Valley Bank. Platte Valley Bank is among a small group of Nebraska banks managed by four or more generations of the same family beginning with Emil E. Wolf in 1910, Arden D. Wolf, Thomas E. Wolf, and Katy Wolf Bode. As Platte Valley Bank looks to the future, we will continue our commitment to our customers, pledge to provide superior customer service, and commit to the growth of our community. Our goal is the financial success of every customer. Please Contact Us or explore this site to learn how we can serve your banking needs.
